For TSA agency, part of Department of Homeland Security, BestSoft team members delivered multiple Screening Gateway projects within the Office of Credentialing and Vetting. The Screening Gateway replaces the process that required TSA to accept paper applications and then manually compare the information provided to information contained in a number of disparate data sets, such as FBI criminal records files. The Screening Gateway automates that process by automatically checking the information provided against same data files, aggregating the results, and then using a sophisticated scoring and modeling engine to determine suitability.
For US Coast Guard, part of Department of Homeland Security, BestSoft team members led effort to achieve Certification and Accreditation (C&A) for 5 systems. Through the Public Health Service, BestSoft has helped the Architect of the Capitol in the design, development and rollout of their Job Hazards Analysis application that is part of their comprehensive Environment Health and Safety program. The application allows health and safety managers to record, recommend and analyze all jobs with respect to their potential hazards and adherence safety precautions. The Architect of the Capitol is responsible to the United States Congress for the maintenance, operation, development, and preservation of the United States Capitol Complex, which includes the Capitol, the congressional office buildings, the Library of Congress buildings, the Supreme Court building, the U.S. Botanic Garden, the Capitol Power Plant, and other facilities.
Through the Public Health Service, BestSoft has helped the ATF in the design, development and rollout of their HEPP Database application that is part of their comprehensive Environment Health and Safety program. The application allows Fire Investigators to collect sample data from investigation sites and run reports to analyze the data for overexposure issues and look at trends in the use of protective equipment.
